Today we talk to Dr Mervyn King. A committed South African, dedicated campaigner for justice and fairness, an accessible and selfless man. A former judge of the Supreme Court of South Africa, he is currently the Chairman of the Global Reporting Initiative and the Association of Business Administrators of Southern Africa. He is best known for chairing the King Committee on Corporate Governance, which issued three comprehensive reports in 1994, 2002 and 2009 endorsing an integrated and inclusive approach to corporate governance in South Africa.
While in Amsterdam I had the privilege of befriending the wonderful and talented Gail Gilmore – a woman with a passion and a voice that is larger than life itself. Gail is keen on visiting South Africa and we hope to achieve this one day soon thru a collaboration with iStart2. We listen to two beautiful songs Habanera and Chanson de Boheme from Carmen.
